What are the chemical peels at Medistica?
The chemical peels offered at Medistica are based on highly effective dermocosmetics, whose action is grounded in the latest discoveries in global dermocosmetics and dermatology. These peels combat skin imperfections and discolouration, improve skin firmness and hydration, and, above all, help to rid the skin of impurities and toxins.
Azelaic acid peel
The azelaic acid treatment is recommended for both women and men with skin affected by rosacea, blemished skin, blackheads and hyperpigmentation, as well as skin prone to redness and with visible capillaries. Azelaic acid peeling has antibacterial and rejuvenating properties – it is often used as part of an anti-wrinkle treatment.
After the treatment, the skin is smoother, with an even tone and texture. Sebum production by the sebaceous glands is also reduced. Tighter pores, the elimination of blackheads, and a reduction in hyperpigmentation and acne scars make the skin look younger and more radiant.
A single application improves the appearance of the skin, but for more lasting results, the treatment should be repeated 5–10 times every 3 weeks.
Ferulic acid peel
The ferulic acid peel treatment is recommended for those seeking a product with powerful skin-rejuvenating properties. This anti-ageing treatment not only exfoliates but also renews the skin and stimulates its regeneration.
The benefits of the treatment include the reduction and treatment of skin problems such as excessive dryness, discolouration, seborrhoea or sagging. After the treatment, the skin is visibly brighter and rejuvenated, with improved firmness and tone.

Pyruvic acid peel
Pyruvic acid peels are recommended for people with acne-prone or seborrhoeic skin, as well as for those with tired skin or signs of ageing. Pyruvic acid acts on both the epidermis and the dermis, which is why it deeply cleanses the skin and stimulates its natural regenerative processes.
After the treatment, you can expect deep hydration and cleansing of the skin. The treatment regulates sebum production and has a rejuvenating effect. It is recommended to repeat it five times at weekly intervals.
Mandelic acid peel
Mandelic acid is recommended for all skin types. It has revitalising, antibacterial and skin-brightening properties. If you notice signs of skin ageing, pigmentation changes, acne scars, enlarged pores or acne itself – a mandelic acid treatment is the right choice for you. Mandelic acid peels can be performed all year round.
Tranexamic acid peel
A tranexamic acid peel is the best choice for skin-brightening treatments. It is primarily designed for skin with pigmentation issues. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and is effective for rosacea. The treatment not only brightens and soothes the skin but also provides significant hydration.
Jessner’s peel
This is a multi-ingredient exfoliant. Due to its broad spectrum of action, it is recommended for all skin types. It contains:
- salicylic acid, which reduces seborrhoea and minimises skin imperfections,
- lactic acid, which helps moisturise the skin and improve its elasticity,
- resorcinol, which has antibacterial, astringent and antiseptic properties,
- citric acid, which improves skin tone, smooths and brightens the skin. It also has antibacterial and exfoliating properties.
Pumpkin peel
The pumpkin peel is designed for problem skin, particularly for those struggling with acne, seborrhoea, enlarged pores or hyperpigmentation. It also delivers excellent results for those with mature skin showing signs of photoageing. Following the treatment, the epidermis is exfoliated, after which imperfections are reduced, sebaceous gland activity is regulated and visible skin regeneration occurs.
