What does the manual facial cleansing involve?

Manual facial cleansing is a traditional beauty treatment during which open and closed blackheads, as well as spots and milia, are removed by hand. Once the treatment is complete, the skin looks radiant and thoroughly cleansed, giving it a fresh and attractive appearance.

This treatment is particularly recommended for those struggling with blemished, problematic skin, for whom regular home cleansing does not produce the desired results. Professional manual facial cleansing effectively unclogs pores and restores the skin’s healthy appearance.

The manual facial cleansing procedure at the Medistica consists of several carefully planned stages:

  • make-up removal suited to your skin type
  • skin disinfection
  • skin toning to balance the pH
  • exfoliation (enzymatic, fine-grained or coarse-grained) to cleanse the epidermis
  • softening the skin with a mask
  • manual removal of blemishes using protective gloves and moderate pressure
  • application of a soothing mask with cooling and calming properties
  • application of a cream tailored to your skin type

When to book the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be red, and signs of the cleansing procedure may still be visible the following day, depending on the patient’s individual constitution. You should therefore avoid physical exertion, swimming pools and saunas for the next 2–3 days to prevent impurities from entering the skin.

Manual facial cleansing can be done every four weeks or once every few weeks, depending on your skin’s individual needs. Regular treatments help keep your complexion in good condition and prevent blackheads and milia from returning.
