What is the laser removal of skin lesions?
The laser treats the lesion by carefully removing (vaporising) the affected skin.
The most suitable method is always determined during a consultation with a dermatologist.
Fractional CO₂ laser
- effective for many benign lesions,
- allows for depth control,
- additionally stimulates skin regeneration around the treated area.
Erbium:YAG laser
- very high precision,
- reduced thermal impact on surrounding tissue,
- particularly useful for conditions requiring a more delicate approach.
Often, the lesion can be completely removed during a single session.
When to consider this treatment?
The treatment could be considered in the cases of:
- warts,
- fibromas,
- sebaceous cysts,
- xanthelasmas,
- corns,
- pearly penile papules,
- keloids,
- lesions in the genital area,
- other benign skin lesions as determined by a doctor.
Every lesion requires a dermatological evaluation before removal.
