What is Carboxytherapy?
Carboxytherapy is a treatment in which carbon dioxide is administered under the patient’s skin. The procedure involves injecting CO₂ gas into specific areas of the skin. Its administration increases blood flow to the treated area, which promotes cell regeneration, improves oxygenation, and enhances the supply of nutrients already present in the body. These nutrients do not need to be supplied from outside; rather, the body’s ability to utilise those already present is simply improved.
Carboxytherapy smooths the skin, improves its elasticity and firmness, and helps reduce stretch marks, cellulite and body fat. When performed on the face, it reduces wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.
Carboxytherapy – the procedure
Carbon dioxide stimulates circulation. Thanks to improved circulation, nutrients reach the cells more quickly, and the cells themselves are stimulated to regenerate and grow. The skin responds to CO2 with a controlled inflammatory response, during which collagen cells regenerate. Carbon dioxide therapy is completely safe and causes no side effects.
