What is cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive body contouring treatment. It is based on the process of cryolipolysis, which involves the damaging effect of cold on fat tissue. The treatment is used for body contouring. It should not be used to treat obesity or to achieve significant weight loss.
What does the cryolipolysis involve?
Cryolipolysis involves the use of a handpiece that draws in a fold of fatty tissue under pressure and exposes it to cold temperatures. At the start of the treatment, the patient feels a sensation of cold, which quickly subsides. The handpiece is equipped with thermal sensors that prevent frostbite.
The treatment lasts between 60 and 180 minutes, depending on the number of head applications. After the treatment, the patient may experience a slight burning sensation and redness of the skin. The treatment is non-invasive. No recovery period is required following the procedure. The final results are achieved approximately 2–4 months after the treatment.

Cryolipolysis — results and recommendations
The results of cryolipolysis become visible 2–4 months after the treatment. The process of eliminating damaged fat cells takes place gradually — the body naturally metabolises and removes them. As a result, the reduction in body fat looks natural.
For best results, a course of 6 to 10 treatments is recommended. Cryolipolysis is suitable for both women and men. The treatment is carried out without anaesthesia, and patients can resume their daily activities immediately afterwards.
