Plasma IQ is an innovative device used in dermatology, plastic surgery, and aesthetic medicine. A small electric arc is created between the tip of the device and the patient’s skin. It produces plasma, which vaporizes the epidermis and contracts the skin at the site of its operation in a controlled manner. The course of the Plasma IQ treatment
Plasma IQ is a plasma generator. It uses its micro-bundles, acting only within the epidermis, and it does not damage the dermis and surrounding tissues. The procedure consists of making small points on the skin surface (approximately 0.5 mm apart). During that period, plasma IQ does not require the connection to electricity, which allows the use of this type of treatment even in patients with the contraindications to treatments with the current flow (e.g., with a cardiac pacemaker).
The advantage of Plasma IQ is that it is precise and does not cause inflammation and necrosis of adjacent tissues. After the procedure, tiny spots may be visible on the skin – scabs, which usually last up to 7 days. However, they are very easy to cover up – a little foundation is enough to make them no longer visible. The skin should be treated with creams that accelerate regeneration. Moreover, after 2-3 days, the treated area may be slightly swollen. However, it is worth emphasizing that the treatment with plasma IQ does not exclude from everyday activities.
